Been a while, but have not been sitting still.

Ok so boxing was on a bit low priority last month due to me forming a new casual raiding guild with some old Inner Sanctum people.

We took back our old starting name Minions of Mithril. We worked on setting it up, helping some rerollers and such, for now we just did SSC and MH but we cleared both.

This of course is only possible due to the nerf done to raid instances. We got a huge amount of people still wearing greens from rerolling. Besides the karazhan and Zul'aman epics.

I however have been ever since the event started farmed the Headless Horseman. all 4 shamans now have the rings he drops, and my warrior got the Helm for the achievement, i have yet to see a Squashling or the mount.

Yesterday my guild organised a semi PUG Molten core run. Partly for the achievement and partly to get my warrior the second binding. The binding did not drop, but i did get to bring all shamans, but unfortunatly i did not manage to do alot of dps due to mobs dieing so incredibly fast and multiboxing target switching still seems to take 1 cast i need to jump out of to switch.

Besides all that i also levelled up the warlock i was working on to level 66. Sofar i have not had much incentive to level him further. Quite frankly i think the shamans and the warrior and priest i already have to level is more then enough, i seriously am considering putting the paladin to rest aswell. The druid and rogue i will most likely not touch anymore either.

Tonights raid will be to Tempest keep, just to experience it once. Should be fun for once.

Done with RAF.

As mentioned in the last post. I started with levelling the druid and a rogue, and RAF gifted up a warlock.

The druid and the lock are now 61, they are still on the same account. This will change tonight. When i move the druid to one of my other accounts, and i can start dual boxing them. It should be fairly easy, the druid will be resto and the lock demo.

Dont really anticipate any issue's till perhaps 5 man group quests.

Will be quite a change since i have played neither class really much, we boosted them up to 60 pretty much every step of the way, except for 1-10 :D

I'll post my progress here of course. Should be a good laugh....

Busy busy busy.

My shamans are now 70, goal for WotLK done.

However i still had a few side things that i wanted to do.

1 ) Get a warlock to 70
2 ) Get a druid to 70
3 ) get a rogue to 60

As usual i take things backwards. So i raffed a Rogue with my friend. He's now 60. We gifted up my lvl40 warlock to 60. That one i will now start levelling.

On the side we also levelling a druid now they are both at level 13. But since we are both working. And he has other hobbies it'll take a week before they are 60 :)

Wintersaber Mount

Ok so yesterday i started to gather Chillwind Meat and Shardtooth Meat for the Wintersaber Faction. I did 3 out of the 6 meat collection runs x 5 :)

It is one hell of a grind, and when multiple people are doing it, its hard to get all the meat. Especially with levelling folks around.

I did 2 today, and 1 yesterday. Most likely will do 2 more tommorow, and after that its kill quests which are not to bad.

Daily Quests

So after i wrote last night's message i spend a hour or so on doing most of the isle Daily's and some others.

Netted me about 100g each character. Not to bad. but i am mainly doing it for the rep.

Arena's & Stratholme & Lack of lust to play

Ok so here is friday evening. Been wanting to go home all day to play some AV's

I play 2 AV's and am instantly bored with it..... Decided to log for the evening and start a new druid its level 9 now. Prob will level it when i dont feel like playing the shamans.

Saturday : Was up pretty early did my weekend shopping. And other then that i did pretty little. I did 1 AV and tarded around a bit. Also finally finished Wrath of the Mad god by Raymond E. Feist. Turned out to be better further in, as i mentioned it started out pretty weak. Story took a turn for the better.

Sunday : I started out by creating my Arena team. Then a guildmate of mine Zstrike came and asked if i wanted to do some 2vs2 Arena with. After a bit of hesitation i said yes. We did fairly well, he played his lock and i played my priest. (disc/shadow).

We ended up at something like 8-12 win/loss for a first time for me doing arena's not to shabby. Also considering i only have 75 resiliance. Afterwards i asked him to heal for me with my 4 shamans. This was well a slaughter to put it mildly. 6K hp, and 0 resiliance is just not gonna cut it.... 0-10 win/loss. He knew it on forehand so np, just getting some points now to get gloves and S3 items :)

Ended the early part of the day with doing some stratholm, did like 7 runs. Was hoping for a mount. but basicly just going there to kill some time. and make some cash.

Somehow i just dont feel like doing daily quests. Strangle enough doing stratholm is more satisfying then going to the Isle of Quel.

Anyways tommorow i might actually start some daily's who knows it'll actually happen this time. :P

Steamvaults.

Yesterday i took my first shot at a level 70 instance, picking steamvaults cause its nice and small. After having 2 goes at the first boss (Thespia with the nice lightning cloudes...) When i was running back (ran out of anks).

My pc froze all of the sudden, same black screen issue i had before. No big deal really but i just didn't feel like clearing again since the party disbanded automaticly when all members are offline.

So today i went back to get my revanche. It took me a few tries and a new move right and left macro to get it done. but about 5 wipes later, and Muramar reminding me of my heroism *doh*. I managed to take her down fairly easy with 0 death.

Got myself Scintillating Coral Band and some other blue stuff from the bosses in Steamvaults.

The 2nd boss was hard the first go. Second go i took out the fire elementals and they well decimated the small adds so he went down very quickly.

Warlord Kalithrass was also fairly easy except i forgot to think about the shield reflect. but after 1 volley i noticed, and he went down first attempt. It is so nice to have everyone shoot the cans at the same time :)

Tommorow i will try Magisters terrace for Shattered sun rep.

Level 70.

YIIIHHAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!

I hit level 70 this morning. The last level questing (especially collection quests) really annoyed me alot. But i guess that might have something to do with doing ALL colletion quests up to Netherstorm :p

All characters have got a slow flying mount now.

They addiotionally got 400g to spare. So thats all going toward their fund for epic flyers :)

Also made a video of when they dinged 70 (boring but hey its a milestone :p

maandag 25 augustus 2008

Gotta love weekends.

So its monday, back at work.

This weekend i managed to get my toons to level 69, and all of them have enough cash to buy a normal flying mount. I only have enough for 2 epic mounts, but for now i will just have them on normal mounts.

Additionally i also managed to somehow ruin my ankle it seems inflamed, which somewhat cut my playtime this weekend, am 100% sure i could have made 70 otherwise.

I just had to go to bed on saturday around 22:00 due to the pain which is annoying. Cause sleeping is a waste of time :/

Tommorow probably calling the doctor to see whats really going on with my ankle.

I did not do the herbing i mentioned earlier due to simply being way to busy with questing. I cleared out all quests in Nagrand and Blades Edge Mountain, also started out with a few netherstorm quests, now sitting at 30% of my level.

vrijdag 22 augustus 2008

Being tired sucks.

Came home from work, and just was to tired to do any serious boxing.

Which kinda sucked, since i was looking forward to starting in nagrand.

Ended up doing a hour of herbing till 270, and getting my mining to 375.

On another note i started the last book in the Dark war Saga from Raymond Feist Wrath of a Mad God. Its the last book in this seria, and the two previous books i rather quickly read through, but somehow this book is less intresting and feels like reading a Terry Brooks book from the shannara serie's. a story line done a million times, and sucked for 999,999 times.

Ah well guess i'll finish the book this weekend just for the sake of finishing the serie's but next time i buy books, i doubt it will be any of Feists.

World is full of strange people.

Ok so we all know multiboxing is a touchy subject, especially for people with little to no PVP skills, that feel cheapened out of their easy win epics.

So today i had this strange encounter with 2 druids seemingly friends of each other. Since i reported one, and then the other complained to me about reporting that guy.

Screenshots below :

Mining & Herbalism.

Ok so i slacked on professions during levelling, mostly cause i always feel it distracts me a lot, and also due to a bit of boosting, i skipped quite a few zones.

So last 2 days i spend on getting my mining and herbalism up. Currently sitting on 311 mining and 225 herbalism. The intention is to level herbalism to 315 aswell. But i wont be doing that till this weekend.

Well back to levelling again!

zondag 17 augustus 2008

AV & Zangramarsh.

So i skipped my first collection quests this weekend. Killing the eels in Zangramarsh, and Collecting Diaphous Wings and Tentacles were just a bit to annoying. All other quests are now complete.

That also means Underbog and Slave pens were cleared. I must say i wiped horribly on Hungrafen in Underbog, I tried him, and had all toons close by at 20% and thought we also got rooted. Which at around 1% of my life i found out was not the case. so next time we moved out. and that worked alot better.

I noticed as well that my grounding totem management was lacking quite a bit. On the 2nd boss in Underbog i had 2 out of the 4 shamans die due to lack of groundings.

Gave AV another try. Won the first match i was in. Actively parcipated managed to defend Belinda with 1 other warrior quite easiely. Lost all other matches. But still had some fun. Managed to finish all quests, aswell as gather 2300 honour :)

woensdag 13 augustus 2008

Zangramarsh

I started out in Zangramarsh last night, i did collect 120 naga claws ! :)

I however did not accept the quests for the Diaphous wings and Eel filets since the droprates on those 2 items are just not healty for my mental state even when single boxing they frustrated me alot. Other then that questing is pretty fast in there.

I believe i gained about 30% of a level in 2 hours of playing.

Tonight i will most likely try my hand at Underbog & Slavepens assuming i can get the quests for them. I will also record the boss fights in the instances, and make some sort of "nicer" movie out of it.

dinsdag 12 augustus 2008

Blood Furnace

Ok so i had my go at Blood Furnace today, first attempt i had 1 wipe at the guys that drop the mines. I pulled 4 of them at let them come close to my shamans and well they ended up dying really fast.

Below is the video of the run. I hope you like it. I know the recording is a bit "dull" in terms of action but hey its a first attempt at it. Expect alot more of them.

Ramparts turned out easy.

Well ramparts is a quick 15 minute clear instance. Bosses drop like they are made of tinfoil.

Yesterday i did very little except raising my enchanting on Sandaleth to 240 so i can disenchant what drops in ramparts/blood furnace

Perhaps today some more instances today.

zondag 10 augustus 2008

Revenge is sweet !

Today we attempted another go at Drakkisath, myself geared in outland greens and level62, and gnarlight at lvl59 we blasted through the whole instance except for a small screwup in the start we got to drakkisath.

This time he did not even get to conflagerate my paladin before we burned him down. So now all my characters are BWL/Onyxia attuned.

Currently waiting for my heartstone to finish cooldown. Then its off to ramparts !

zaterdag 9 augustus 2008

Upper Blackrock Spire

Ok so as mentioned yesterday, i went into UBRS today, finished the key and all.

So we wiped on the first room right away cause Gnarlight was bit to low level and aggro'd pretty much every one of the first 4 rooms, summoners got out of hand and it was a wipe.

After that things went pretty smooth. cleared the Pyromaster guy, then came up Father Flame.

I must admit i totally forgot about the egg hatchers, so they came running to our guys and ran back in to open eggs. By the time i really understood what was happening. All low levels were dead and my paladin's health steady decreasing. Unfortunatly i didnt make it and we wiped. When we came back we made sure to take all the Rookery hatchers out as first, Gnar got nice Devout shoulders (They look silly on dwarfs ;p)

Next up was the rarespawn thats in there. unfortunatly no briarwood reed trinket, but a mail item for one of Gnar's hunters. Proceeded to Rend (no we did not jump.) Dismissed of him rather easyly. On the way to the Beasts room i had to restart all my wow apps since some addon was causing bug grabber to make my system go crazy. I really need to redo the addons but i like to play to much :p. The beast was a intresting fight we had 4 people left standing in the end. The Fear and random aggro mechanism was just well crazy. And not good enough healing setup on my side and not enough healing experience in a raid from Gnar.

Sharded all the loot from the beast we cleared the room to drakkisath.....

And well damnit that guy is a bitch if your only playing with 1 tank. The first conflagaration i manage to bubble out, but at that time he was only at 30% and smacked down 1 or 2 or more characters , then i got aggro back and i got conflagged again. And that was the end of the story. We gave it like 4/5 tries but in the end just decided to call it till Gnar's hunters can actually hit Drakkisath (they were lvl55, drakkisath is lvl63 :p)

Fun night overall. But not really productive but i guess fun is worth something on its own :)

vrijdag 8 augustus 2008

Level 60 !

So yesterday evening i hit level 60 will the shamans. Since i did the onyxia quest line before i decided to try my hand at Upper Blackrock Spire to get myself the blood of the dragon champion :)

Well I kind of forgot that you needed a key to enter the Upper part, so together with Gnarlight i went to Lower Blackrock Spire. We cleared it very easyly being 2 5 man dualboxers. Few small deaths along the way but nothing special really.

Picked up some nice hunter items for Gnar's hunters. Other then that my paladin got all the gemstones for the key and is now ready to go kill Emberstrife.

So most likely tonight i will focus on UBRS and perhaps even Stratholme/Scholomance afterwards. When i did all that its time to move to outland.

Unfortunatly i have not enough money at the moment to buy epic mounts for all my characters but i am sure that will sort itself out soon enough.

dinsdag 5 augustus 2008

Ungoro & Felwood

On sunday i spent most of my time in Ungoro Crater doing all the quests except collecting the dino webbings, it was another level worth of quests/xp.

In the late evening i then went to felwood and made a start on felwood doing the first batch of available quests. Now just have to do the follow ups.

Yesterday however went a bit different then planned, ended up spending most of my night in the AH sorting out all the stuff i had laying around, and selling all the Enchanting materials i got from all green BOE's that dropped during questing. In total i went from 100 to 750g with still a 100 auctions running :)

Besides that i joined got asked to join MgT normal on my paladin i did so we managed to clear it fairly easy except for the start where we asked a hunter to trap things. Well he clearly failed at that so i just ended up tanking all mobs instead of ever bothering to trap things.

Anyways the plan for now is to get to level 58, and then see how viable it is timewise to do the Wintersaber quests. The simple reason for this is that the mount only needs 75 riding skill and if i can save out 600g x 5 for now till 70. I can get that gold at level 70 much easier.

This is a picture i got from a guildmate after i got it.

I originally did the wintersaber quest on my warrior being the first person on Silvermoon-EU to get this mount, we spend 3 weeks 8 hours a day at least most of the times more then that to farm it. Thank god its alot easier these days and it gives 500% more rep.

We'll see how it goes.....

zondag 3 augustus 2008

Lenghty run in Blackrock mountain

So i managed to finish the whole instance, and every single quest except the fannypack one, somehow being in there for 6 hours, i did not feel much for looting mobs with my slaves.

I did do the onyxia quest chain. The escort was quite a pain in the ass and i had 3 deaths total.
One time two died which was scary but with my pala, and other shammy being able to ress i prevented a faillure.

In the end i got to 54 and 90% of a level.

Un'goro is next i think. Alot of collection quests but if i start skipping to much i will never get enough XP from quests/kills to hit it on schedule.

zaterdag 2 augustus 2008

Blackrock Mountain preparation

Yesterday i cleared out searing gorge of all its quests, hit 52 in the process. Also i started gathering all quests for Blackrock Mountain, hopefully today i can do a full run and gain another level.

Thing to remember the Dragon that gives u the Black Dragon Mold (needed for BRD quest) has a huge spawn timer on it, and it only drops for one of your guys.

So i ended up waiting 5 minutes between each kill for the drop. Thankfully it was during dinner time but be warned it might take u a while.

I also prepped for the Onyxia quest line who knows i might 5 box it some day :P

donderdag 31 juli 2008

Totem Quests & Level 51

Yesterday i was extremely tired, but i managed to do all totem quests (i only picked up earth while levelling)

This netted me almost 60% of a level

Funny buff from the air totem gave me Red Dinosaurs :P (mounts)

woensdag 30 juli 2008

Tired but satisfied.

As written last night Zolo is being fixed during today's downtime, this however did not stop me from staying up till 3am to try and get as much out of it as possible.

That being said i got to lvl50 and 70% of that level. A nice level, since now i can hit tanaris / searging gorge to quickly quest boost myself through these area's leaving me at around 53 hopefully.

I assume that after that it'll be Ungoro Crater, Felwood, Western / Eastern Plaguelands and last but not least Silithis. I am assuming this will leave me at around level 61 as it did with my paladin. That seems like a nice level to move to outlands, i really dont like moving there to early as there is a huge opportunity for some extra cash later on.

On the other hand i still think i will be instance running most of the time in outlands following Suvega's advice on leaving all quests. And doing them when i hit 70 to collect nearly 20k gold for all quests, and pay for the epic flyers.

dinsdag 29 juli 2008

Wow wow and wow

So i managed to just get to 35 in the nick of time, turns out at downtime tonight they will nerf the Zolo trick, in the US it has already been fixed after downtime. It would be foolish to assume they will not fix it here in the EU, never the less tommorow i will give it a shot.

That said, i will stay online till server downtime which will happen at 03:00. Probably will be shattered tommorow, but hey, its either spend 3 hours longer now and have a headache tommorow.

Or spend several days of question in a a multitude slower pace to get to the same level.

Truth to be told i hope i can get to 53/54 tho it will be a long sit :)

Sunken Temple = MAD !

I went to Sunken Temple, and sofar i have been doing 185k xp per hour, that translates in roughly 3 levels per hour, they are now all 39, i started at 35.

Will update where i ended later tonight.

35 on to Sunken Temple !

Well i managed to hit 35 last night. It was a horrible grind and it was about 30 degrees celcius here in holland, so not the most ideal situation to do mindless grinding in.

But never the less they all hit 35 last night, i moved all characters to duskwood and they are parked in the inn to wait for me to get off work.

Praying for it being not to hot today, if its a busy day at work and it is, i'll be dead by the time i get home with little feeling to grind... :(

maandag 28 juli 2008

My feelings shift with the day.

Ok so today i woke up, and seems we got a major piping issue in the house, all water seems to be coming up through the pipes again :/

Anyways had to take the day off to wait for the guy to fix it. Bad news is another free day gone for well not a planned day, good news is that i got some more time to play.

On to that i kept the paladin for now, i get 30% of a level in scarlet monstary, however in the cathedral i am having a very very hard time killing all mobs in the last pull. I seem to constantly run out of mana, and the healing mobs will still live meaning i have to hit them down manually since my paladins are still only 28 and cant even hit them properly yet :P

Ah well hopefully 35 today, if not anything above 30 will be ok then i can do some quests in STV

zondag 27 juli 2008

Dejavu & Boosting

Today was a strange day, i had a computer freeze again. However that was not the main item, i brought all shamans from 22 to 27 by doing Stockades and some quests afterwards.

This is not the main thing that caused it to be strange, the reason for that was a dejavu feeling the moment i brought all toons to Scarlet Monastary. Instantly i felt i was doing it all wrong again. Once again endless days of boosting in SM, wether i use a mage or a Paladin, in the end its all the same endless grind. From tommorow i will include my 5th shaman called Esaina in the team.

I will get back to questing, cause truth to be told, i was enjoying myself alot better when i was questing then when i was running DM/Stockades and now SM.

I will do 2 more levels, and then i will start running SM for real with 5 lowbie shamans instead of with my pala, yes my paladin will be there at 70, but i will level all 5 shamans to 70.

Soomehow it just feels right to do it that way. Might say boosting in ST or something is very appealing, but W0tLK is still a long way off, and that is what i am aiming for to become level70. I dont care to much for the current content, been there done that with Lorune and Sandaluth.

Anyways enough ranting for today.

ps. If anyone has any alternative ideas what could be causing these crashes please leave a comment.

My current setup

Well i spend a good 12 hour session of Multiboxing last night, among that time also setting up my paladin in the mix as mentioned yesterday for some boosting.

I also made a picture of my setup, and a nice in action screenshot of the ladies :)

Click on the pictures to see them bigger, and better quallity

This is a picture of my current computer / screen setup

zaterdag 26 juli 2008

Weekend !

So weekend, finally some time to get serious with boxing.

Yesterday's problem "seems" to be solved with the fan speed increase, i read some forums and they said it might hurt the lifetime of my fan, however XFX offers lifetime warranty so i could not care less.

I moved DoubleHelix to another account, to free up the account that holds my paladin. I needed some quick XP and not slow poking with low drop rate quests in the lower levels. Deadmines is what i am currently doing at 19, i expect to at least hit 22 today, if not a bit higher.

I sorta am against boosting, but truth to be told, i am mostly levelling up these shamans to in the end do 10 man instances with together with Granlight. And after 7 level 70 characters i am pretty much "done" with the old world.

Anyways back to levelling/boosting.

vrijdag 25 juli 2008

Multiboxing and PC problems

Yesterday was a fun, but also annoying day.

I started at level9 and managed to end up at lvl14.

My main problem however still seems to be my PC crashing, around 22:00 my PC froze into a black screen, and was not responding at all anymore. I restarted and it crashed again after 30 minutes but now the screen just froze.

I now upped the fanspeed of my 8800 GTX to 100% all the time. I honestly hope this will fix it, otherwise i will have to go out and shell out €1200 on some extra PC's, which i would not mind, but lets just say its money that could also be spend on buying ALOT of new books.

I already replaced the motherboard and powersupply, but i got the feeling it is overheating.

Might even try to put a fan on the PC with the case open. Who knows it might improve the situtation, addionally i got another laptop from work with me this weekend, so i will probably end up making Keyclone a happy guy with another $20 ;)

Anyway hopefully tonight a positive update, the 100% cooler setting brought down the idle temprature from 69 to 59 in the few minutes i had before leaving to work.

If anyone else has any suggestions as to what might cause my problem feel free to leave a message (fyi memory was tested, motherboard and psu already replaced.)

Level 9 and Guild formed

Well yesterday i met up with the other alliance boxer on Silvermoon-EU.

We formed a guild called Mirror Image, we now have 9 members, and a single tab guild bank.

Besides that i spend 2 hours levelling from 6 to 9, and doing every single collection quest in elwyn forest. Must admit the golddust and Candle quest was a quite a pain in the backside.

Other then the few collection quests its going pretty smooth.

dinsdag 22 juli 2008

How plans change sometime....

Well i was planning to do alot of levelling tonight, how wrong i was :)

Was hanging around a bit on my priest, and turned out the guild was gonna go a Alt Gruul / Maggy run. So i joined with my pala tank. Killed gruul with 17 people. Got myself the T4 Paladin Chest and Shoulders, and the Mace from the Highking for if i ever go retribution :p

Its a nice boost to my gear, but unfortunatly i forgot to loot 3 badges from gruul, making me just short for the Libram by 2 badges.

But all in all not much happened multiboxing related today. Probably tommorow a bit more, however it is reset time, perhaps a kara pickup :)

Screen setup small update.

Yesterday i posted my new screen layout, however I also posted a message on dual-boxing.com requesting if anyone could help me fix the aspect ratio. Keyclone author Rob was very quick with responding with a file for me to import with the right ratio's and sizes.

Time to try that when I get home tonight

maandag 21 juli 2008

Screen Setup

Well i finally decided on my Screen layout.

the first setup i tried was 4 squares each the same size, however this was very annoying to look at due to the small letters in the quest log, and other such things that you want to read.

So now my main character has a big readable screen, and with Keyclone's PIP (Picture in Picture) option i can switch between screens fairly easy. On my current PC it takes about 1 second to switch.

Basic Macro's such as group invites / focus / assist / simple attacks are setup now, just gotta sort out a easy way to add new spells to the hotbar including the respective macro. Tommorow i will try to finish the last bits of my macro's if i am home on time from work. Then hopefully i might have some time spare to also sort out the UI's cause at the moment its a mess :(

Time for bed now.

Reported !

I was level 1 when this happend. The guy kept requesting duels and trying to steal my targets, and shout reported. Strange people sometimes on Silvermoon.

Wow and Lorune

To anybody that reads this.

So i am a long time world of warcraft player, playing in the guild Inner Sanctum back in the MC/BWL/AQ40 days as a tank and quit somewhere around start of Naxx for a month or nine.

When i came back i didn't have the time to pickup raiding, however i am still a member of the guild.

These days i just play casually, i have Sandaluth (70 priest), Sandaleth (70 Paladin) and my main Lorune (70 Warrior). Used to have some other characters aswell but deleted those and never bothered to restore them.

Since last march i also tried to dabble in the world of Multiboxing, i tried this at first with boosting 4 new toons to a higher level with a borrowed mage, but this turned out to get so boring in the end, i just quit it all together.

Now with some renewed motivation i started a team of 4 Shamans, hoping to one day do some PVP and PVE with them. I plan to use my paladin as a tank for the group if i ever end up doing PVE.

Anyways i honestly hope i wont burn out this time like i did the first time. I really was looking forward to it, but the grind kinda smashed all fun of it.
